Electro Focal Cerebral Ischemia And Reperfusion Of Hsp70 Protein In Rat Cerebral Cortex

The effect of focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion and electro-acupuncturing bilateral "bai hui" and "ren zhong" point on HSP70 expression in Sprague-Dawley(SD) rat brain tissue was evaluated by the SABC immunohistochemistry method and HE staining. Compared with a control group, HSP70 expression increased markedly in I90min/lh, I90min/R6h, I90min/R12h groups (p<0. 01). Compared with the I90min /R6h group , it was observed that electro-acupuncture could further increase HSP70 expression (p<0. 05). The results suggest that the neuroprotective mechanism of electro-acupuncture on focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion may be related to the upregulation of HSP70 expression.
