Electroacupuncture With The The Ai Box Moxibustion On Plasma Levels Of Cgrp In Patients With Lumbar Disc Herniation And Clinical Effect

Objective: To observe the clinical effect and mechanism of electroacupuncture and moxibustion with moxa box to treat LIDP on the base of TCM and modern theory. Methods: 46 cases of LIDP were divided into group 1 (23 cases) and group 2 (23 cases)at random. The group 1 was treated by electroacupuncture and moxibustion with moxa box,while the group 2 was treated only by electroacupuneture.The two groups had treatment once a day for one course of treatment .ten days equal one treatment.The change of symptoms integral ,leg-up test and the content of CGRP in plasma were obversed before and after the treatment. Results: Two groups are effective. The group 1 is more effective than the group 2 (P<0.05). With the alleviation of the pain symptoms, the content of CGRP decreases. Conclusion: The group 1 has obvious effect on improving symptom of LIDP with statistical significance. Electro-acupuncture and moxibustion with moxa box is a effective theropy on treating LIDP . CGRP decreases with the alleviation of the pain symptoms.
