Plaster in Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM), plastering the affected part directly, working through the skin,can activate blood circulation,remove blood stasis,subdue swelling and alleviate pain. Shang Ke Xiao Yan Gao(SKXYG) of Jiang Su Province Hospital Of TCM as a plaster has been used to treat Knee Joint Osteoarthritis(KJOA) excellently for several decades.The aim of the research is to verify its curative effect objectively and contrast it with another plaster (Nan Xin Zi Tong Gao) through observing the chang of physical sign and symptom affect treating.The research studied and discussed the mechanism of SKXYG treating KJOA deeply from theory and clinic.In the therapy part,we reviewed the researching documents about KJOA,analyzed the mechanism of KJOA in TCM and Westen Medicine.We elaborated the mechanism and the clinical using condition of Plaster in TCM.This part provided the theoretic foundation for the next clinic study.In the clinical part,we adopted the random test. The total curative effect rate of SKXYG was 92.86%(total 28 patients),without obvious side effect.lt was obviously different beteen SKXYG and Nan Xin Zi Tong (P<0.05).The results proved that SKXYG could activate blood circulation,remove blood stasis,subdue swelling and allebate pain excellently.It could obviously anesis the patients' clinical symptom and improve their life quality.The research proved that SKXYG could treat primary mild and moderate KJOA excellently and achieved the expected result.
