| Objective: Through Logistic Regression of symptom of TCM between GAD sufferers andnon-GAD sufferers, to quest for the main mechanism and therapy rule of TCM, then to set downthe method of therapy and estimate the curative effect clinically.Medthod: Firstly to select the 78 GAD sufferers and 78 non-GAD sufferers from clinic and be inhospital at Dong Fang Hospital of Beijing University of TCM between July, 2003 and January,2005, study with Logistic Regression of the symptom of TCM, mechanism of TCM, the diseaseplace of TCM and cure types and ways of TCM, quest for the range of symptom of TCM, thefactor of pathology of TCM, the disease place of TCM and cure types and ways of TCM of GADsuffers, then set down the method of therapy. Secondly to estimate the curative effect clinically. Observed 21 GAD sufferers totally so far,and devided into 2 groups randomly, treatment group (11 cases) were treated with Chinesetraditional medicine, and control group (10 cases) were treated with Deanxit. Finally to access thepoints of HAMA and TESS at pre-therapy, 2 week and 4 week, the period of therapy is 4 weeks.Results: Part One: After the investigation of 65 incidents of LES, we found the patients of 65% hadthe possible incidents. the possible incidents were 22 totally, among them the workload increasesor decreases markedly, severe disease or trauma and entanglement of folks often occurred, theoccurrence rate was 17%,8% and 8%. After the investigation of symptom of TCM of 78 GAD suffers, we found the symptom ofTCM mostly appeared was fussy temper and irascibility, insomnia, be apt to forget, heart-throb,tiredness, dry mouth, red tongue, be light in the head, be apt to breathe, Mai Xian; The mechanismof TCM mostly appeared was hotness, stagnancy of Qi, weakness of blood; The disease place ofTCM mostly appeared was liver, heart and stomach; The cure types and ways of TCM mostlyappeared was the oppressed Qi turned hot, the weakness of heart and spleen and the weakness ofYin of liver. After Logistic Regression, we found that the symptoms of TCM markedly interrelatedwith GAD were fussy temper and irascibility, be apt to breathe, it seems to have a thing in thethroat, bitter mouth, confusing head and heart-throb(p<0.05), among them fussy temper andirascibility, heart-throb were very significantly and positively interrelated with GAD (p<0.01), thefactor of pathology of TCM very significantly and positively interrelated with GAD were hotness,stagnancy of Qi, weakness of blood(p<0.01), the disease place of TCM very significantly andpositively interrelated with GAD were liver and heart (p<0.01), the cure types and ways of TCMvery significantly and positively interrelated with GAD was the oppressed Qi turned hot (p<0.01). Part Two: The patients of treatment group(11 cases) were treated with Jing xin an shen tangfor 4 weeks, and the patients of control group were treated with Deaxit for 4 weeks. We found thatthe points of HAMA of pre-therapy and after therapy descended significantly (p<0.05). The totaleffective rate of treatment group was 91%, and there were 1 case with cured effect, 5 cases withobvious effect, 4 cases with effect and 1 case with no effect. The total effective rate of controlgroup was 80%, and there were 1 case with cured effect, 2 cases with obvious effect, 5 cases witheffect and 2 case with no effect. The total effective rate between 2 groups had significantdifference(p<0.05). There was no bad reactive among treatment group occurred. And there was 1case with bad reactive among control group occurred, it was fremitus of body.Conclusion: The own symptom of TCM of GAD suffers are fussy temper and irascibility, be aptto breathe, it seems to have a thing in the throat, bitter mouth, confusing head and heart-throb. Themain mechanism of TCM of GAD is the oppressed liver and stagnancy of Qi became hot. Themain disease places of TCM are liver and heart.
