| ObjectiveTo observe the clinical curative effect and badness of ShelluangXiaoLiou Capsule(SHXLC) on primary hepatic carcinoma (PHC) , evaluate the validity and security of it through scientific clinic research, and approach the possible functional mechanism so that it could instruct clinic practice and develop new drugs for treating PHC in TCM.MethodsThe qualified subjects were divided into treated group, control group and comforted group randomly by random and double-blind contrast test method an d ten subjects in ea-ch group. They were given the drugs in visiting time orde r with constant number obeyed to random and double-blind, parallel contrast pr inciple, and could last for 6 months. The drug of the treated group was SHXL C administrated 6 pills (0.25g/ pill) each time, three times a day. The drug ofthe control group was Immortals Capsule(JC) administrated 6 pills (0.25g/ pil 1) each time, three times a day. The drug of the comforted group was Starch Capsule (SC) administrated 6 pills (0.25g/ pill) each time, three times a day. T he evaluation of therapeutic effect was according to surveyed indexes which w ere as followed: 1. therapeutic effect observation (1) sign and marquis of TCMintegration (2) hepatic type-B ultrasonic examination (3) serum AFP examinati on (4) CT examination 2.security examination including three macro- conventio n, hepatic function ALT, renal function BUN,CR and electtocardiography. Valid ity evaluation was in terms with curative effect and security observation. Data was recorded and deal with in double-blind principle after accomplishing experi ment. At last, data statistical analysis of trial was carried out and all statisticaltests adopted bilateral detection. P<0.05 was considered that docimasticed diffe rence had no statistics significance.ResultBoth treated group and control group ameliorated clinical symptom of patients, improved AFP of partial subjects, relieved pathological changes degree with type-B ultrasonic examination, pathology examination was turned to normal after therapeutic time was termed, which had no significant difference (P>0.05) . Comforted group ameliorated clinical symptom of very few patients, could not improve AFP of subjects, relieved pathological changes degree of very few subjects with type-B ultrasonic examination, pathology examination was not turned to normal, which had significant difference compared to treated group and control group(P<0.05). The overall curative effect of comforted group had significant difference compared to treated group and control group (P<0.05) . ConclusionThrough treatment of six months, the clinical curative effect of SHXLC on PHC was prior to IC a little, but the overall curative effect of two groups was equal. The clinical curative effect of SHXLC on PHC was prior to SC obviously, but the overallcurative effect of two groups was distinct markedly. At the same time, the clinical curative effect of IC on PHC was prior to SC obviously, but the overall curative effect of two groups was distinct markedly, which indicate that SHXLC was suited for treating different pattern of syndrome of PHC, i.e. the drug could suppress hepatalgia, enhance immunopotency, inhabit tumor enlargement, prevent diversion of cancer cell to other region of patients with different pattern of syndrome of PHC. According to TCM theory, treatment of SIIXLC on PHC was because of the functions below: supporting healthy energy, promoting blood flow and removing blood stasis, softening hard lumps and dispel nodes, heat-clearing and detoxicating. And it could strengthen body resistance, but remove pathogenic factor; attack cancer, but keep justo; strengthening body resistance was aimed to enhance organism body constitution, elevate organism immunity, adjusting human body yin-yang, concerting five solid organs peace.
