The Shimai Clear ~ (131) I Treatment Of Graves' Disease In Clinical Studies

Objective Clinical study on the therapeutic effect of combined using Shi mai qing(SMQ) and 131I on Graves (GD). Methods 85 patients of GD were random divided into study group (46 cases , combined SMQ and 131I) and control group(39 cases,combined propanolol and 13lI).Every patient's sex ,age, course of diseases,withdrawal time of AID .thyroid up-take ratio of 131I, effective half life, FT3, FT4, TSH, thyroglobulin antibody(TGAb), thyroid microsomal antibody(TMAb), thyrotropin receptor antibody(TRAb), mass of thyroid, given 131I dosage of per gram thyroid tissue were recorded ,and all indexes were graded and quantified .Appraising the curative effect in thyroid function ,the concentration of thyroid autoantibody ,clinical syndrome and spysical sign, the rate of healing and the emergence of early hypothyroidism ;Cox regression discriminatory analysis were conducted in therapeutic effect . Result The recovery of FT3, FT4, TSH in study group was earlier ;decreasing range of TMAb,TGAb,TRAb was larger ;the difference between two groups were significant (P<0.05). The time of remission cardio palmus , hyperhidrosis, and number of stool was earlier than control group(P<3.05);the exophthalmus rate was less than control group ,but there was no statistical significance . After the first mouth of treatment the heart rate decreased fast (P<0.05);the decrease of thyroid mass and the increase of body weight were bigger than control group, but had no statistical significance . At the end of the third mouth ,the cured rate was higher(83.72% and 72.97%, respectively) ,and the early hypothyroidism was less than control group(7.50% and 15.10%, respectively) (P<0.05). The given 131I dosage of per gram thyroid tissue , the mass of thyroid before treatment,level of FT3 and withor without combined SMQ were major factors of remedial effectiveness. Conclusion SMQ could improve the recovery of the thyroid function .relieve the clinical symptom and physical sign rapidly , reinforce the effect of 13II , reduce the complication and early hypothyroidism .The Therapeutic effect of combined usage is better than that of only with 131I.
