Compound Kushen Anti-itch Cream In The Treatment Of Subacute Eczema, Chronic Eczema, Clinical And Experimental Study

Compound Kusheng Antipruritic Ointment,mostly made from Sophora flavescens ait.fhellodendron amurense Rupr.,Cnidium monnicri Cusson, etc, has the function of eliminating dampness and reducing fever, eliminating poison and dispersing wind,wetting skin and relieving itch. In order to evaluate Compound Kusheng Antipruritic Ointment effectiveness and mechanism of treatment, we have completed the following studies:1 .The literature study contists of two parts:The first is about the review of the historical names of eczema,recognition of illness,intemal and topical treatment, and it summarize the experience and knowledge of the modernday famous expert of traditional Chinese medicine and the research progress of eczema in decade lately,and introduce the general situation about experimental research of eczema.The second is about the research progress of eczema in modern medicine.including pathogenic,mechanism and treatment.2.Study report is divided into two parts,one is the clinical research and the other is the experimental one.According to diagnosis criterion 30 cases of eczema will be treated by using Compound Kusheng Antipruritic Ointment and taking orally herbal medicine,and 14 days is a treatment course.Through clinical observation,we record the itching grade,the symptom and the area of sick skin before treatment and after one.Through treatment,3 cases have been cured, 10 cases have notable amendment cases is effective and 9 cases is of no effect,and the highly effective rate is 43.3%,the total effective rate is 70.0%.The experimental results show: Compound Kusheng Antipruritic Ointment can't alleviate the tumefaction of mouse ears caused by xylene(ANOVA show P>0.05) ,but markedly inhibited the licking response elicited by 4-aminopyridine in mice(ANOVA show P<0.01).To the animal model of repeated challenges with dinitrochlorobenzen(DNCB) inducing chronice dermatitis-eczema in guinea pig, the Chinese traditional medicine distillate of Compound Kusheng Antipruritic Ointment and Hydrocortisong Butyrate Ointment have similar inhibition,which are remarkable differences with the auxiliary.We can conclude that Compound Kusheng Antipruritic Ointment is a effective preparation in treating subacute and chronic eczema,and the mechanism is relevant to antiallergic and antipruritic effect.
