With the rapid increasing of the number and the average age of alimentary canaltumor patients in our society, how to improve the security of the relative surgeries, acrucial and important issue, is being more and more enthusiastically debated in the realmsof surgery and anaesthesiology. There are two segments, OVERVIEW and CLINICAL STUDY,in this paper. In the overview part of the paper, the author analyzed diverse surgeries , intercurrentdiseases after surgeries, and prognosis of the most popular alimentary canal tumor-esophageal carcinoma, gastric cancer, colonic cancer, and rectal cancer-including that howto evaluate the progress of the diverse surgeries; how to treat the popular intercurrentdiseases of surgeries, and how to evaluate the diverse factors which may influence theprognosis of tumor patients. In the clinical study part of the paper, the author analyzed 666 alimentary canal tumorpatients who were cured in tumor surgery of DONGZHIMEN hospital and took apreparatory retrospective study. The study indicates that the proportion of elder tumorpatients of total population was increasing during the past ten years, it is greatly necessaryfor us to research intensely the relative laws under the phenomena; the characteristics oftumor surgeries were inclined to small wounds or even mini wounds, and the study alsoindicates that the rate of intercurrent diseases after surgeries and prognosis is bettercompared with the data openly reported which may be attributed to the function of theChinese medicine combined with the surgeries. Of course, this explanation may needfurther research to support. In the attached clinical study part of the paper, one part of the following researchesafter the former one, the author carried out a clinical study on effect ofSHENQIFUZHENG injection combined with chemotherapy in treating colonic cancerafter surgery. In this study there are just 61 colonic cancer patients who were stochasticallydivided into 3 groups, the combined therapy group and the chemotherapy group, and 31patients respectively. Relative data about both groups were collected during the 6 weeks sothat the effect of the injection could be effectively assessed. Results: The symptomatic remission rate of the combined group was definitelyhigher than the other(P<0.01); the weight improving rate and stabilizing rate of thecombined group was definitely higher than the other(P<0.01); and also the protection tomorrow and the improvement of the immunity by the injection were definitely identifiedby comparing these with the other group(P<0.01).
