The Onyang Clear Benefit Treatment Of Chronic Pyelonephritis Clinical Studies

Chronic pyelonephritis(CPN) is a commonly encountered disease of urinary tract infection. Although we have made rapid progress on antibiotic, we even can't lower the disease incidence, recurrence rate, and also the mortality of CPN with the use of antibiotic in large dosage. Antibiotic can also lead some side effect and drug resistance which cause low immune function of the body, delay the treatment period and make the clinical treatment more complicated. It always leads great suffering to the patients.According to the TCM theory and our clinical experience. We made a systematic study on pathogenesis, etiology, therapeutical principle and method of CPN. The research approved that CPN belongs to Over-strained Stranguria with Cold. The character of this disease is Deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality,cold and heat interwoven.The origin of this disease is Both deficiency of Qi and Yin, deficiency of kidney Yang.The main cause of this disease is Dampheat evil, the endogenous and exogenous cold evil is also a very important bad factor that affect the development of the disease. According to this we think the main therepeutical method should be Supplementing Qi and nourishing Yin, Clearing away heat and promoting diuresis and also we need to warming Yang for dispelling cold sometime. So we created Wen yang qing li Decoction. This decoction use medicinal herb of different nature to treat both the deficient and excessive symptoms. We have treated 32 CPN patients by Wen yang qing li Decoction; and there are also 30 CPN patients treated with San jin Tablet as a control experiment. We observed the influence on the index of immune function and the long-term treatment result of these two medicines for CPN patients. The result shows:â‘  Wen yang qing li Decoction is obviously better than San jin Tablet on improve the index of immune function (T Lymph cells of peripheral blood, serum immunoglobulin)(P<0.05 or P<0.01). â‘¡After six months treatment, the recovery rate of the Wen yang qing li Decoction group is obviously higher than the San jin Tablet group, the treatment failure rate andthe recurrent rate of the Wen yang qing li Decoction group is obviously lower than the San jin Tablet group (P<0.05). That shows: Wen yang qing li Decoction can obviously improve the cellular immune function and the humeral immune function of the CPN patients, strengthen the body's anti-infections ability, lower the relapse or repeated attack.So Wen yang qing li Decoction has a good long-term treatment result.This research enriched the TCM pathogenisis, etiology and therapeutical method of CPN. It point out the endogenous and exogenous cold evil is a very important bad factor of the course of CPN that can't be over looked. We also give a new mode of thinking and a new method of the clinical treatment, which is benefit for the long-term treatment result of this disease.
