Objective: studied acupuncture prescription of curing depression syndrome in ancient and modern literature, classified by determining the pathogenesis of ZANG-FU, summed up the rules and characteristics of selection of acupuncture and moxibustion points and high frequency prescription. Methods: Searched ancient literature by symptoms and name; according syndrome standard classified ancient and modern literature; summed up the prescription in tree parts.. Results: selecting points of curing depression syndrome was given priority to following meridian, cooperated with local-choosing and differentiation of symptoms and signs. The method of acupuncture and moxibustion was given priority to body acupuncture, cooperated with electric acupuncture and others, as well as the application of moxibustion. The application of psychological teleotherapeutics could emphasis in curing depression syndrome. Conclusion: through analyzing and study ancient and modern literature, summarized high frequency recipes of curing depression syndrome.
