Objective:To observe the high related risk factors and effect characteristics in advanced gastrointestinal carcinoma combined with malignant intestinal obstruction, this research applies retrospective study to analysis its clinical feature and treatment. It lays the foundation to establish clinical standards of integrated Chinese and Western medicine, further to lower the incidence of malignant intestinal obstruction and improve its efficiency. Methods:we collected the discharged patients'general information, diagnoses, treatments, effective evaluations who suffered from advanced gastrointestinal carcinoma combined with malignant intestinal obstruction from 2008.1.1 to 2010.8.31 and had statistical analysis. Results:the median age in patients with malignant intestinal obstruction is 64.8, the aged (>60 years) involves 64%(27/42), there were 18 cases in patients with primary colorectal cancer and 12 cases in stomach cancer of this research, the ratio respectively is 43% and 29%. The number of MBO who had abdominal surgery is 39. Contracted with western medicine'treatment, chinese herbal medicine oral and retention enema therapy, acupoint sticking therapy, acupuncture played important effects.35 cases had good effects,5 died,2 invalid. The effective and ineffective cases were separately 31 and 3 in incomplete intestinal obstruction when compared 4 and 4 in complete intestinal obstruction. Conclusions:although the aged occupies the most, it has no statistical differentiation in age. Colorectal cancer and stomach cancer involves the high risk factor in MBO, but the incidence does not have significant difference when compared the charged patients in our hospital department. it needs larger sample to confirm the results to ignore the error of proportion. Due to the cancer consumption and other complications, the patients who suffered from MBO had bad general conditions and could not receive invasive treatment, so palliative medicine is the best treatment. Under the guidance of modern medicine, integrated Chinese and Western medicine, such as chinese herbal medicine retention enema therapy and acupoint sticking therapy, has the exact effect and less side effect. The prognosis in incomplete intestinal obstruction when compared complete intestinal obstruction is better and has statistical significance. The total effective ratio is 83%,but the ratio of death is also 12%,so integrated Chinese and Western medicine therapy may have good effects in malignant intestinal obstruction at the early stage of high risk factors.
