Traditional Chinese Medicine Graduate Of Five Personality Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Analysis

Objective:To evaluate the characteristics of Five-pattern personality and MMPI of clinical postgraduates majoring in traditional chinese medicine and its relevance. To evaluate the psychological problems of clinical post graduates majoring in traditional chinese medicineand and its countermeasures.Method:236 clinical postgraduates majoring in traditional chinese medicine in the Dongfang Hospital affiliated to Beijing University of Chinese Medicine were selected in this reaserch. Data were collected through the Five-pattern personality questionnaires and MMPI, and were analyzed with statistical methods.Results:1. The score of Five-pattern personality was lower than Chinese norm, this difference was significant (P<0.01)2. The clinical postgraduates majoring in traditional chinese medicine have mental problems and the rate of various psychological problems was 35.59%. The factor scores of Mf was significantly higher in the male than that of in the female (P<0.001), and Ma,P,M were significantly lower in the male than that of in the female (P<0.01)3. The results of Spearman analysis showed that Tya was positively correlated with Mf,Ma,P, was negatively correlated with K,D,Hy,Pd,Si,I,M,A. Sya was positively correlated with Ma,P, was negatively correlated with D,Hy,Pt,Si,I,F,M. Yy was positively negatively with D,Hy,Pd,Pt,Sc,Si,N,I. Syi was positively negatively with Hs,Sc,Ma,N. Tyi was positively correlated with F,Hs,D,Hy,Pa,Pt,Sc,Si,N,I, was posit ively negatively with K (P<0.05)4. The results of Logistic regression analysis showed that Yy enter regression equation of Hs, Tyi enter regression equation of D, Sya,Yy enter regression equation of Hy, Tyi enter regression equation of Pa, Tyi enter regression equation of Pt, Syi enter regression equation of Sc, Sya enter regression equation of Ma, Tyi enter regression equation of Si, Tyi enter regression equation of N, Tyi enter regression equation of T, Tyi enter regression equation of I, Sya enter regression equation of M, Tya enter regression equation of A.5. The results of Logistic regression analysis showed that Tyi enter regression equation of psychological abnormality.Conclus ion:1. The mental heath education and counsel ing against clinical postgraduates majoring in traditional chinese medicine should be strengthened by established psychological intervention system.2. The Five-pattern personality is correlated to MMPI.
