Practice teaching is one of the most important parts of the teaching system in colleges and universities which is irreplaceable in improving the students' comprehensive quality and developing their practice ability and creative mind. In recent years, according to the purpose and requirement of talents training, our school gradually improved the practice teaching system including the experiment, social practice, graduate paper (design), etc.The practice teaching mode of Acupuncture& Moxibustion and Tuina is an education reform project, based on the Beijing municipal education commission education reform project "reform and practice of TCM quality and skill cultivation" and approved by the teaching Steering Committee of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. This project, undertaken by School of Acupuncture& Moxibustion and Tuina, took a pilot reform on the five-year teaching plan of Acupuncture & Moxibustion and Tuina. With the teaching purpose, course arrangement and graduate requirement unchanged, this teaching reform focused more on choosing the object, building the teaching team, adjusting the teaching method and practice course arrangement and improving the evaluating system, in order to improve the students'comprehensive quality and practice ability. To evaluate and analyze the effect of the current stage, the advantage and characteristic and the existing problems of this cultivation mode, we did the research on the implementation of this teaching mode, in order to deeper improve it and justify it.Literature review of the past ten years'practice teaching mode of Acupuncture & Moxibustion and Tuina professional in TCM universities in China is applied for this study to summarize the current situation and existing problems of the implementation of the practice teaching mode. At the same time, this study analyzed the implementation of this practice teaching mode of Acupuncture&Moxibustion and Tuina professional and the establishment of teaching team, teaching conditions and evaluation system. This study analyzed the implementation situation of the practice teaching mode, investigated the students'and teachers'evaluation, compared the academic record and skill record of students between the ones in the teaching reform class and the ones in control class. All the data were statistically analyzed by the SPSS 11.5 statistical software. The result shows that the students are satisfied with the practice teaching mode, have strong interests in TCM and do well in learning process. The academic records of the students in teaching reform class in average in the major courses are better. The percentage of top students is higher in teaching reform class than in the control class in TCM diagnose skill test. Students in teaching reform class are in good learning atmosphere and their skills can meet the requirement and purpose of the teaching reform project. Until now, all the 37 students in the teaching reform class can attend the teaching reform activities. The mode of team teaching can make up the insufficiency of teachers and the communications among teachers can ensure the consistency of teaching. The classroom for practice training and the community base can generally meet the needs of practice teaching. Generally speaking, the practice teaching mode is feasible in the past stage. However, to make the practice teaching mode better performed, the classroom for students'practice training should open longer to provide the students more time to practice. The community base should be established steadily and absorb more standard patients to give the students more resource to practice. Besides, the evaluation system to test the students and improve the teachers'activity should be improved.
