| Objective:To observe the Singapore area of knee osteoarthritis (Osteoarthritis of The Knee, OAK) TCM in patients with type distribution and to study the severity rating scale (Lequesne index) and with the distribution of syndromes associated.Method:February 2009 to February 2011 in Singapore Public Free Clinic during the treatment in line with the conditions of the 274 patients enrolled in outpatient knee osteoarthritis patients, divided into three types according to TCM (1. Liver and kidney yin deficiency, muscle vein stasis; 2. spleen and kidney deficiency, wet Note joints; 3. deficiency of kidney yang, phlegm and cross resistance), statistical distribution of the syndrome, the syndrome and the severity of osteoarthritis of the knee correlation and with the knee joint synovitis, meniscus injury, knee ligament injury in correlation.Results:The TCM syndrome liver and kidney yin deficiency, tendons and blood stasis were the highest proportion card, followed by the spleen and kidney deficiency, wet note cards joints, is rare deficiency of kidney yang, phlegm and cross resistance; severity index indicators, points 0-7 are divided into mild,8-14 as moderate,> 15 into serious. Patient ratio: 47%moderate,45%mild, severe,8%; female patients in this study accounted for 73%, significantly more than men; OAK knee synovitis associated with the most common, followed in with knee joint synovitis in the liver and kidney yin deficiency, tendons and blood stasis syndrome the most common, with knee ligament injury in order to deficiency of kidney yang, phlegm and more cross-resistance; the severity index TCM and housewives/retired persons of the most significant correlation, followed by workers engaged in labor, non-labor workers are the most rare; severity and the age distribution of patients is relevant, and mild concentrated in the 40-65 years age,, the weight concentrated in the 56-80 years age, with age, the disease tended to be worse.Conclusion:1. OAK three kinds of TCM in the liver and kidney yin deficiency, the most common type of tendons and blood stasis;2. Mild and moderate patients with liver and kidney yin deficiency OAK, tendons and blood stasis were the most common in patients with severe deficiency of kidney yang OAK, phlegm and blood stasis type of cross-resistance up to.3. With age, OAK prevalence gradually increased, the condition gradually worsened.4. OAK prevalence of women than men.5. The prevalence of manual workers were higher than non-manual. |
