In recent years Sino-US trade conflicts frequently emerge during the economic and trade growth of the two countries, which consequently exerts great bad impacts on both sides. This thesis aims to give an in-depth analysis of the Sino-US trade conflicts. Firstly, it elaborates on the present situation of Sino-US trade conflicts and summarizes the characteristics of the causes, such as common tools and conflict industries, etc., and especially the focus is mainly on the serious trade deficit between China and US. Secondly, the thesis makes further study into the causes of these conflicts, on the one hand, from the US perspectives of economy, politics and ideology and, on the other hand, from the Chinese perspectives of the government, industries and enterprises in both macro and micro aspects. It objectively points out that there are two sides to the problems of trade conflicts, which means that trade conflicts may have negative effects upon the economy of China, US or even the whole world. However, they also bring positive impacts as well as progress for them. Lastly, the author puts forward suggestions and solutions to China that Chinese government, industries and enterprises should act together and work out good results to such issues. At the same time, the US should relax the export policy to China and change the concept of trade protectionism. Therefore, the best way is to strengthen the communication and coordination between the two governments and their related trade departments, take good advantage of the WTO dispute solving system, which can effectively reduce the conflict frequency, soften the negative effects caused by trade conflicts and maintain a sound and healthy development of Sino-US economy and trade.
