To the evolution of HSPA,WCDMA has won great success. More over, the technology of HSPA+ will make WCDMA more competitive. Multi-input multi-output (MIMO) is a key technology of HSPA+, it adopted the form of compensated ability, which can support two blocks of data in a TTI, and the utilization of bandwidth simultaneous transmission double at most. For MIMO, the peak rate for download will reach 28.8 Mbps, if UE can also modulate in 64QAM, this value will reach 43.2 Mbps.The work of this dissertation focuses on the study of WCDMA/HSDPA system and the 3GPP agreement in the relevant sections of MIMO with the view of utilization of the original system resources maximum, improving system compatibility. Meanwhile, I serve the problem of lacking of memory in the DSP called DLSR in processing of STTD and precoding which have been implemented on FPGA for some way.In this dissertation, from the MIMO scheduling algorithm interface gain entrance parameters, under the precondition of the subsequent detailed design process of each interface, realized respectively the dual flow scheduling, CQI index, different modulation mode of the equivalent STTD coding interface parameters, and the system can simultaneously unified support 64QAM modulation mode. Finally, after finishing the information of the HS-PDSCH channel and the corresponding control channel HS-SCCH Type3 correctly that says MIMO upgrade is completed in Node B.Finally, this dissertation introduces parameter changes in RNC in order to support or make MIMO performance better, to related aspects of the validation. The terminal can only support 16QAM achieved an average rate of 27.87 Mbps, which is very closed to the peak level for the modulation mode in theory, which implies the upgrade of system was successful and had excellent performance.
