Clinical Analysis On 18 Cases Of Reduction Mammaplasty Using Compounded Inferior Pedicle Technique

Objective:To analysis the speciality and merit of the compounded inferior pedicle technique according to clinical data of reduction mammaplsty. Methods:A retrospective study was undertaken of 34 reduction mammaplasties in 18 patients with breast hypertrophy during November 2002 to December 2009 and who had undergone compounded inferior pedicle technique for reduction mammaplsty. 10 cases'breasts enlargement after feeding, 7cases'breast enlargement juvenile.1case breast enlargement with no special reason.The new nipple_areola complex are marked.To estimate the volume of the breast tissue to be removed based on the difference between ideal breast volume and real breast volume . The patients using the linear equations of calculating breast volume.Traditional skin incision was adopted in the technique. But the pecdical was modified and localed at lower part of the breast with subcutaneous and gland tissue. To compared advantage and disadvantage of the compounded pedicle techique with traditonal technique, the change of shape,skin sensation, and scar after surgery were obsvered. Results:Good shape of breast was obtained. Therity-three breasts were good,one breast's wound fat colliquation.The successful rate was 100 %,and symptoms were relieved signi- ficantly. Conclusion:The compounded pedicle techique is a alternative technique for the patient who plan to reduction mammaplaty.
