Objective To evaluate the clinical value of the diagnose of facial nonpigment actinic keratosis in dermatoscopy so as to provide an effective tool in epidemiological investigations in the later.Methods 40 cases who came to our dermatology department duo to their facial leisions like actinic keratosis were enrolled in April 2009~November 2009. Among the patients, there are 27 males and 13 females whose age from 46~88 years old and course from 2 to 20 years. Examiniation with dermatoscopy and histopathology were performed respectively. Regarding the pathological diagnosis as "gold standard", we tried to verify the sensitivity, specificity and consistency of the diagnose of facial nonpigment actinic keratosis with dermatoscopy and histopathology.Result The sensitivity, specificity ,Youden Index and Kappa Index of the diagnose of facial nonpigment actinic keratosis in dermatoscopy were: 90.91%, 88.89%, 79.80%, 0.798(P>0.05) and 86.36%, 94.44%, 80.80%, 0.800(P>0.05) respectively compared with histopathology.Conclusion There is a good consistency between dermatoscopy and histopathology in diagnosing facial nonpigment actinic keratosis and it has an important diagnostic value.
