The Study of Covering Cultivated Technologies and Soil Moisture Regulations on the Dryland Wheat Field of Shanxi Province Abstract Using contrast investigation, fixed experimental site observation methods and perennial data, the soil moisture change regulations and the effects of rainfall on output were studied in this paper. The results showed: On the dryland wheat field which is one crop a year, with straw mulch in the fallow stage, natural precipitation can be stored and preserved, evaporation of soil water decreased with decreasing of field temperature; with plastic mulch around the whole stage of wheat growth, soil was sealed off, soil moisture of wheat field could be preserved effectively. It made wheat output increasing by over 30- 50%. Yet suitable variety, suitable sowing time and sufficient fertilizer and manure were essential to promote soil moisture utilizing efficiency. |
