| Microbial forage additive is a new type of additive which can reduce the incidence of disease through modulating the micro-ecology balance in the alimentary tract and promote the growth of the animal by its rich nutrition.In this paper, five fungi strains which consist the probiotic microbial forage additive were roughly identified, the optimum growth temperatures and optimum growth pH values of them were determined, and the growth curves of the five strains were also made.Based on the micro-ecology principle and the basic studies, a technical process of multi-strains co-ferment in solid medium was established. In order to widen the raw material for production and reduce the pollution to the surroundings in countryside, the waste products of mushroom cultivation and the corn straw were used as the main stuff of the fermentation. The total protein content in the culture medium after fermentation can be increased abut 10%梚 5% than the content before fermentation.In addition, the protein content, amino acid analysis, microelement analysis, vitamin analysis, the additive抯 safety test and Aiiies test were performed. The results indicate that the content of the protein, microelement3and vitamin of the probiotic microbial forage additive were abundant. It has no potential danger to induce gene mutation of bacteria, and have no toxic or side effect.To confirm its biological effect, a series of experiments on chicken and carp cultivation were carried out. It could promote the growth of chicken and carp, also could promote the fertilization rate, livability and laying rate of chicken, decrease the incidence of diseases and reduce the cost of cultivation.This paper presents fundamental research on the probiotic microbial forage additive for its widely application in stockbreeding. The probiotic microbial forage additive takes advantages of high nutrition content of single cell protein and the disease protecting ability of probiotic. Moreover, it could make use of the waste products of agriculture and industry. Further research and application of the probiotic microbial forage additive will bring out notable economical, environmental and social benefits. |
