Roads Dangerous Goods Transport Safety Management Research

Along with the economic development with more demand and supply of hazardous chemical products, there are more transport volume of hazardous goods. Well organized effective road freight transport for hazardous goods is essential to promote the economic development and people's daily life. In recent years, however, quite a number of hazardous goods accidents happened during road transport, with great adverse impact on people's life, property and the general public. Some serious accidents have caused some freight carriers great loss and debts, and greatly reduced productivity of transport. Therefore, it is important and imperative for the competent authority for transport to strengthen safety of hazardous goods transport by road.Based on systematic survey of the current status of hazardous goods transport by road both here and broad, this paper conducts in-depth analysis of the existing problems in the market of hazardous goods transport by road and safety issues, using the theory of transport economics, the theory of public administration, the theory of transport organization and sociology. Meanwhile, comparison study is made of the advanced experiences in the administration of hazardous transport by road in some industrialized countries. The paper systematically put forward basic principles, general framework and relevant measures and methods for the strengthening of safety management of hazardous goods transport by road in China with a series of new ideas.
