Active protection system is a new defense concept for light armored vehicle, which has been researched and developed a lot by many countries. This paper focused on the research of interception efficiency of light armored vehicle, as a key issue in this field, providing theoretical reference and technical support for the R&D of active protection system.This paper introduced the principle of active protection system of light armored vehicle, and analyzed its interception capability. Based on the error analysis of interception process for calculating the bias of burst points, the interception error model was founded. The kill probability model of interception missile was established through the calculation of several mechanical properties of the fragments to determine the number of effective fragments, such as initial velocity, flight distance, fight time, angle density and the kill probability of single fragment. Thus the interception probability model of active protection system was established, which includes the interception error model and kill probability model of interception missile. By means of Monte Carlo method, the interception probability was calculated, and the error influence factor was also considered. The results show that the errors related to detection range, time delay of the fuse and the velocity of interception missile highlight the interception probability. By contraries, the errors involved with angle of fire, azimuth angle, fairway angle and lifting angle have a relative low influence to the interception probability.
