The counter-rotating gas turbine is a new type turbine for the next generation aero-engine. This type turbine could have less weight and higher efficiency than the ordinary turbine. It has achieved the extensive attention all over the world. This paper researched the aerodynamic design technology of counter-rotating gas turbine.By using the free-vortex design concept based on the streamline curvature method, the aerodynamic parameters of the counter-rotating gas turbine were achieved. The parametric method of turbine profile design is used to design the 2D profile, and stack technology is used to construct the 3D blade. The CFD software is used to analyze the 2D flow field and the 3D viscous flow field in turbine.Based on the methods developed in this paper, a counter-rotating turbine was designed. The calculated results showed that the method developed in this paper is effective and feasible.
