This paper studied the Qinlin Ⅲ tunnel in Xi'an-Hanzhong freeway. On the base of introducing the geology background of the Qinlin Ⅲ tunnel, this paper analyzed the evolvement characteristic of the area crust, the deep structure characteristic and the earthquake movable characteristic in research area, then discussed movable characteristic of the area rupture, the characteristic of structure stress field joined with four study means: niton test, a -card test, the scanning electron microscope of quartz granas in the fault-sludge, the directional mixedformation experiment. After analyzed the test data, we can conclude: the rupture movable is east stronger than west; the newest movable of east-west rupture begins the early Pleistocene and Pliocene; the north-south direction is central in structure stress field. Synthesized above five aspect characteristic, we can know it is lesser influence from rupture movable and more stability that is the Qinlin Ⅲ tunnel, and the crust is basically stable. Analyzed the factor which influence the stability of Qinlin Ⅲ tunnel wall rock based on analyzed result of the area crust stability. Think that there are seven kinds as follows: Hard degree of the rock one, direction resisting and cutting the characteristic , initial stress of country rock , function of the groundwater , weathering function , main weak structure the integrality degree , structure of the rock body Evaluated the stability of Qinlin Ⅲ tunnel wall rock through two classification method of wall rock: wall rock judgment method and fuzzy synthesis method. Through compared the two methods and combined with the two method's virtue, we could conclude the optimized wall rock classification method which was adapt to the Qinlin Ⅲ tunnel.The forecast theory of fault parameter method and key forecast technique were applied in Qinlin Ⅲ tunnel, which forecast each fault of up and down line in Qinlin Ⅲ tunnel. Through validated, the forecast result is matched with fact, which proved fault data method was adapted to the inclined terrane tunnel wall rock such as the Qinlin Ⅲ tunnel.
