It is an eternal objective pursued by manufacturing enterprises to improve the quality of product, reduce the lead-time and decrease the cost of product, and also is the key factor of enterprise achieving the success and the development in global market. To achieve the objective, the Concurrent Engineering (CE) is being applied in many enterprises. The Design For Manufacture(DFM) is an important design technology in Concurrent Engineering, which assures product design, process design and manufacturing to succeed at one time by taking the factors associated with manufacturing into consideration in the design phase; so the manufacturability evaluation is an important technical tool to implement DFM.Based on the research about manufacturability evaluation by many researchers in home and aboard, four aspects are discussed in this thesis. At first, the model about information requirement in manufacturability evaluation is set up. Based on the feature technology and object-oriented mechanism, the manufacture-oriented part model with three levels (namely part, feature and geometry) and the resource model is build; Secondly, the evaluation guidelines on the basis of evaluation strategy of fining with levels is constituted; Thirdly, an evaluation method according the evaluation guidelines is put forward, which is the rule-based and fuzzy evaluation-based method associated with resources. Fourthly, a manufacturing-oriented evaluation system for machining blade part is built...
