Sparkling polystyrene wastewater contains variations of organism such as styrene, LAS, some stabiliazation and suspengding reagent and so on, of which surfactant LAS shares the most and styrene process little with high phosphor concerntration and bad biodegradability. This paper has much detailed research on the wastewater and provides the directory for polystyrene wastewater treatment.In the experiment of coagulation pre-treatment, static state test with beaker mixing was adopted. The effect of five coagulation reagent covering poly-ferric sulfate, poly-aluminum chloride, aluminum sulfate, Iron(II) sulfate heptahydrate and Iron(III) chloride hexahydrate and aided coagulation reagent PAM treating the wastewater was discussed. Experiment result shows that on the condition of LAS concentration =700mg/L, CODcr=1736mg/L and styrene=80mg/L, poly-aluminum chloride have the optimal treat effect with phosphor and CODcr of outlet water below 1mg/L and 594mg/L respectively and with CODcr treat efficiency of 65.8%. Optimal poly-aluminum chloride and PAM adding mass are 150mg/L and 3.3 mg/L respectively. The convenient precipitation time is 1.5h.Active carbon biological tank process was studied primarily in this paper. The test of powder active carbon added into aerating tank was aided at the optimal adding mass. On the basis of different pH value and styrene existence or not, the impact of wastewater HRT, CODcr sluge load and volume load on outlet CODcr and LAS was studied through continual dynamic test. In addition, the relation between different sluge index and wastewater treatment effect was checked. Outcome tells that ratio between optimal active carbon adding mass and general sluge mass in tank is 1:8. When inlet-water pH=10, LAS concentration=350mg/L, styrene concentration=80mg/L and CODcr=936mg/L, optimal HRT,sluge load,and volume load is 14h, 0.75kgCOD/(kg.d) and 1.6kgCOD/(m3.d) respectively with outlet water CODcr=90mg/L and LAS=8mg/L and with CODcr treatment efficiency of 90.4% and LAS treatment efficiency of 97.7% on the condition of sluge concentration =2.2mg/L.In the research of the combination of hydrolytic acidification method and aerobic active sluge method, combination filling was suspended in the hydrolytic acidification tank and continual dynamic test was intrduced.The experiment result reveals that When inlet-water pH=10, LAS concentration=350mg/L, styrene concentration=80mg/L and CODCr concentration=936mg/L, The optimal styrene wastewater treatment HRT of tank and aerobic active sluge tank is 24h and 8h with outlet-water CODcr and LAS be 89mg/L and 8mg/L respectively with CODcr treat efficiency of 90.5% and LAS treatment efficiency of 97.7%.
