In recent years, the development of new class of polymers, which have the ability of both temperature endurance and salt resistance, become very urgent. And hydrophobically associating water-soluble polymers (HAWP), which exhibits special theological properties different from that of conventional polymers, has always been concerned by scientific researchers. Nevertheless, there are many problems of hydrophobically associating water-soluble polymer which are still not settled in the present research. The present paper inspects the interaction betwwen hydrophobically associating water-soluble polymer and the montmorillonite clay pellet to provide essential theory basis for the preparation of water leakage soluble association polymer/montmorillonite clay nanometer composite materials. These composite materials promise to have more outstanding rheological behavior in water solution through the enhancement functionof montmorillonite clay nanometer level laminar structure, and provide new way for the application of hydrophobically associating water-soluble polymer.Therefore, the present paper expands new way of thinking, taking the Malaya acid anhydride and the senior as the foundation, designed and synthesizes a kind of new sparse water association monomer (MZ) - the maleic acid monoester series to carry on the optimization with the orthogonal testing method to the sparse water monomer synthesis condition. The results show that the best experimental condition of the synthetic polymer was: Malaya acid anhydride; Dodecyl alcohol =1.1 (mole of ratio); hydrosolvent 60%; catalyst dosage 1%; Reaction time 4 hours. And the present paper takes sodium bisulfite and potassium persulfate as the initiation system to toinitiate sparse water association monomer MZ and the acrylic amide, acrylic acid to carry on free radicals gum a bunch to come together, forming a kind of alkyl diethylene glycol dinitrate sparse water association water soluble polymer AZ which side chain includes the long chain, and has determined its molecular parameter and confirmed the monomer and the polymer structure with the infrared spectrum.The paper has studied the rheological behavior of a nanometer material (F-AZ), which is got from the conpouanding of new sparse water association polymer AZ and purified sodium montmorillonite clay, inspected the influence of montmorillonite clay increment and the montmorillonite clay particle size, NaCl and the CaCl2 dosage, surface active agent SDS and the CTAB dosage, the temperature influence, the influence of shear rate as well as the pH value on the compound dispersion system...
