A kind of marine alga, which has a large amount of calcium and combined calcium, has hoen elected by determining the amount of calcium of different forms. Then a kind of liquid full of ho-calcium has boon extracted by high pressure, which contains organically combined calcium by 90.6% percent. Compared with traditional calcium sourcc --CaCO, and Milk Powder, the efficacy of bio alcium has been studied through establishing calcium deficient modcl. In addition, hio-iodine liquid extracted from kelp has also boon tested its elTcct on supplying iodine by contrasted with pure product PIT and Kl. The three different forms of calcium can improve the condition of calcium deficiency to different extents. ho alcium can be well absorbed and utilized, and its feed efficicncy, serum calcium, calcium apparent absorption rate, calcium retention rate and retention rate of calcium of femurs, etc are obviously higher than that of CaCO:ggroup(P<0.05).Its efficacy close to that of Milk Powder group. Bio odine extracted from kelp, PIT and K17 can all have obvious effect on supplying iodine, but the speeds arc evidently different. The efficiency of bio odinc and DIT is faster than Kl and bio odine is better than inorganic KI indeed in respects of supplying iodine speed, safety and efficacy. In conclusion, hio a]cium and bio odine exhibit a wide range of supplying calcium and iodine activity. This study establishes the foundation to research trace element and mineral nutrition further, and has important significance for promoting the development and utilization of ocean resources.
