Guizhou plateau, as the center of the South China Karst, is the largest, the most concentrated area in the world. Guizhou rocky desertification area comes first of all provinces. Rocky desertification has become the bottleneck in the Karst area of South China Karst which seriously restricts the development of the social economy. In recent years, the issue of Karst rocky desertification caused great concern. and formed a series of successful model on the management of the rivers, such as Huajiang, Bijie, Qingzhen rocky desertification model. And the ecological restoration and reconstruction research are both carried out. From a macro perspective, management demonstration area or pilot basin can be regarded as a point, therefore, a successful promotion of the governance model cannot be applied mechanically. The local conditions should be taken into consideration. But the current system of rocky desertification management of technology hasn’t have definite provisions. The study is based on the national " The 12 th Five Year Plan" science and technology major project, selecting two typical Karst landform in Guizhou mountain plateau and Karst plateau Valley to establish demonstration area, Guizhou District in Bijie demonstration zone of Karst plateau mountain creek as the typical representative of light- moderate rocky desertification environment, Guizhou Guanling- Zhenfeng Huajiang demonstration area as a typical representative of the environment of rocky desertification in Karst plateau Valley in the strength. The design and establishment of the rocky desertification control model analysis and management of the Karst rocky desertification geography information system.(1) Implement the system of Karst rocky desertification geography information system Based on the hybrid structure of C/S and B/S, combined with Internet technology and GIS technology, the integration of the use of VB programming language and ARCGIS two development environment to, the system realizes spatial data and traditional multimedia database management function. The system take the rocky desertification information and decision-making information of Salaxi Pilot in Bijie of Guizhou and Huajiang of Guanlin-Zhenfeng Pilot for the data source, to contribute to the achievement of Karst rocky desertification comprehensive prevention and cure for the purpose, based on GIS spatial analysis method, data management, decision support and software development technology system is introduced into the high resolution remote sensing data as an important data source combined with geographic information system(GIS) spatial analysis technology. The development of rocky desertification GIS application and management system, integration of rocky desertification information, through the man-machine interactive information system management and query interface, for comprehensive treatment of rocky desertification, benefit monitoring and dynamic analysis provides the query, analysis and decision support services.(2)To demonstrate the effect of Salaxi model and Huajiang model, variation theory in geography spatial correlation and regional under the guidance of the principle, analysis technique using GIS spatial analysis, multi factor space, using raster data structure, the qualitative and the quantitative correlation, spatial information and the attribute information, combined with the characteristics of Geology and geomorphology of Guizhou, Karst Province Meteorological hydrology, soil and vegetation, rocky desertification, human activities, the synthetic evaluation index selection of rocky desertification in the popularization and application of comprehensive management model, and the river and pull model and Huajiang model suitability evaluation. The results show that: "the most suitable salaxi mode" area is 4259.88km2, accounting for 2.42% of the land area of Guizhou province are mainly distributed in the northwest of Guizhou province; "the most suitable Huajiang model" to promote the area of 4928.42km2, accounting for 2.80% of the land area of Guizhou Province, South and northeast of the main distribution in Guizhou province. At the same time, according to the different governance patterns of different areas, a comprehensive index method, evaluation method of regional comprehensive treatment of rocky desertification extension suitability evaluation, the area of rocky desertification extension suitability of quantification, evaluation results can provide technical support for the scientific control of rocky desertification in Karst area in the province internal governance model, according to the different conditions of choice.(3) To the South China Karst as evaluation objects of salaxi model and Huajiang model suitability evaluation, evaluation results show that: salaxi model in the South China Karst region of the most suitable for promotion the application area of 183100km2, accounting for 9.45% of total area in the South China Karst of Bijie city and Liupanshui City, the most suitable areas are mainly concentrated in Guizhou province; the suitable area of Huajiang model is 227700km2, accounting for the total area of the South China Karst region of 11.76%, according to the results of the evaluation, the model of huajiang is suitable for the popularization of the whole southern Karst region.
