This paper chooses Baiyinnuoer Lead zinc, Wujiu nine and Huanggangliang iron ore as study area in Inner Mongolia Greater Khingan Range. Extraction the data of land use and landscape pattern by using the ArcGIS and fragstats. Analyze the effects of mineral resources development on the land resources by analyzing those dates, the main conclusions are as follows:(1) The development of mineral resources mainly destructed the grassland, and it’s area decreased, but grassland still the first land types in study area. Forest area increased, but it stills the second land types in study area. Mining warehouse land area increased, and it’s became one of the first four classes in study area.(2) The exploitation of mineral resources caused the grassland and river decreased, and the other types of land use area increased. The total rate of change and the annual change rate of mining cover area are greater than mining excavation area and mining used area in opencast mining. The total rate of change and the annual change rate of mining cover area and mining used area are greater than mining excavation area in underground coal mining.(3) The grassland transferred to other types of land use is the most in study area. The new added forest land area is mainly from grassland and the reduced forest land area main transfer to grassland. The new mining warehouse land area is mainly from grassland and forest land, the reduced mining warehouse land area main transfer to grassland. The new added bare soil is mainly from grassland.(4)The number of plaques, patch density, patch richness, landscape shape density, shannon’s diversity index, shannon’s evenness index increased, and the largest patch index decreased, all of them showed the land use types became more, landscape heterogeneity increased, the degree of landscape fragmentation strengthening.
