In this paper the thymus DNA of calf and the pBs plasmid are the main objects of our studies in ultraweak luminescence (UL). By means of PIAS(Photon-counting image acquisition), ultraweak luminescence detector and Lambda Bio 40 of UV/VIS spectrophotometer, we studied the UL of DNA induced by the three oxygen free radicals: singlet oxygen Oa), hydroxy radical(OH) and superoxide anion(O2 ). We found that the OH can greatly increase the UL intensity of DNA. But Oa and O2 can just slightly increase the UL intensity of the DNA. At the same time we studied when the UL intensity of DNA in different concentration induced by OH. Found that OH has the same inducement to the UL of DNA in different concentration. Furthermore we also use the UV/VIS spectrophotometer Lambda Bio 40 to study the absorbency in the 280nm wavelength of the induced DNA by ?OH. Found that the Aago is not altered in the course of the inducement. This showed that the DNA did not decompose hi the course of the inducement. The result of electrophoresis of the induced DNA by the three oxygen radicals also proved that DNA did not decompose in the course of the inducement. We considered that the increase hi the UL intensity of DNA that induced by the three oxygen radicals, not by decomposing but altering the structure of DNA.
