Study On Competitiveness Of Container Port In Bohai Sea And Yellow Sea Region

Along with the development of international shipping industry and the expedition of global economy integration, the role of container port is more important in the system of global transportation, the container port will act as an integrated logistics center to promote the regional economy development and international trade. At the same time, the development of container port can promote the prosperity of economy of region and country the port located greatly, so, the promotion of competition ability of container port is attracting more attention from the government and society all over the world.For the container ports related to many factors, it is important to pick out the main factors to analyze the competitiveness. By referring to a great deal of literature and expertise, a complete set of evaluation index for container ports competitiveness was set up.Based on this evaluation index, this thesis study the competitiveness of container ports of Dalian port, Yingkou port, Jinzhou port, Dandong port, Tianjin port, Qinghuangdao port, Jingtang port, Qingdao port, Rizhao port, Yantai port, Weihai port that around the Bohai sea and the Yellow sea region. And adopts the method combined with principal component analysis and cluster analysis to have comprehensive evaluation and classification of container port, through analyzing the competitiveness of container ports in Bohai Sea and Yellow Sea Region. The advantages and disadvantages are found out.Based on the results, some relevant suggestions are bought forward to improve the competitiveness ports in Bohai Sea and Yellow Sea Region.
