Teambuilding is one important branch of organization behaviors, being a significant role in enterprise culture. One group will not be well organized and managed without being a team. One group will never get its fighting power without core value and same direction. So does one enterprise.Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing Ltd Of Singapore, as one of top foundries in this world, has unique sides to the rest competitors. That is the reason why it is able to achieve so much by today. But CSM was declining in period of 1998-2004,losing marketing and profits seriously. Especially in 130nm technology field, it was caught up and pushed behind by SMIC, which is only 4-year old fresher in this industry. As a result of it, CSM was out of top 3.Subsequently, CSM itself tried to reform its management and search new revolution. Since 2005,CSM got some advantages back and grasped 65nm technology rapidly by co-operation with IBM. We have the reason to take a look on how company runs in recent years.Outline of thesis would be as :In 1st chapter, the thesis focus is the method of research and topic background. In 2nd chapter, focus in shift to team building definition and related researches done by some specialists. In 3rd chapter, it will introduce the background, culture, organization and developing history of CSM. Next chapter, we will research the target of teambuilding in CSM and the way that CSM builds its own team. Result analysis of research in 5th chapter and conclusions / prosperous wishes in final chapter will be done.CSM has to recognize its own advantages and weakness while competing with other top foundries, has to learn how to form the fighting power. Base on above purposes, I had done the research of CSM staff team building and gotten the conclusion of it. Although this conclusion could be not so accurate because of some individual standing points, it can be providing some real facets of CSM staff team building. It could be useful feedback for CSM to know itself better and rectify it own problems.
