The Evolution Research Of Jinan City Space Pattern

City spatial pattern, which is the backbone of urban development, is a spatial relationship composed by the geographical distribution and inter-woven of the city spatial elements. It is the product of social economic development and population agglomeration under certain conditions. And it is the cohesion and concrete manifestation of social economic activities, culture, policy, and city construction strategy on geographical distribution. It is subordinate to the overall process of socio-economic development. It has a direct impact on urban system function and normal operation and it is an indicator of urban development. Now with the rapid development of economic, social and urbanization, the urban population and the land scale expand, leading to the re-structure and spatial pattern evolution of city's various components. Such a change featured by both the dynamics of time and specific phase of the space that the city spatial pattern study asked for both time change and space change.This paper, drawing on the research results at home and abroad,the main city of Jinan as the research object , the time and space evolution of city spatial pattern as the main content , using history thematic maps of different periods and 1979, 1987, 1995, 2000 and 2005 five years'MSS / TM / ETM+ remote sensing image as data sources, with RS and GIS software, researches the spatial pattern evolution of Jinan city from the aspects of time series evolution, the evolution patterns and characteristics of spatial pattern. The study focuses on exploring Jinan's urban pattern evolution trajectory, characteristics and problems and drive mechanism, to explore the intrinsic relationship between the urban spatial patterns evolution and environmental factors of urban development such as nature, politic, economy, society, traffic, culture etc. Also it reveals the law and trend of Jinan's spatial pattern evolution and put forward countermeasures about the rational layout and expansion of Jinan city in the future.This thesis is divided into five departments: preface, Jinan's space development background, the evolution of the spatial pattern, spatial pattern characteristics research and space optimization countermeasures research. Analysis focuses on the features of some stage which has great impact on the spatial pattern of Jinan City, the existing problems, drive mechanism and the spatial evolution pattern of different time. Also it measures and analyzes the city evolution form, the expansion direction and scale and regional focus shift. The study concludes that the evolution of Jinan City has different influencing factors at different times, so the expression of spatial patterns'evolution form are different. This is mainly as follows: before 1368, the space evolution of Jinan City is mainly affected by the natural conditions and the city develops along the east-northeast-north as the first quadrant development; from 1368 to the end of the Qing Dynasty, in addition to the northern part of city, which is blocked by the water body of Daming Lake, other parts expand soon; affected by the open trading port in the end of the Qing Dynasty, urban areas develop towards the southwest before Jinan's liberation, at the beginning of liberation the improved social environment makes urban pattern evaluate towards the flat east and west; To the end of 1979, with the exception of the southern mountain by block, the City expands rapidly towards other direction; After 1979, the City continues down the evolution of this trend, and extends to the south bypass the southern mountain. Study shows that affected by the factors such as nature, economy, society, transportation and so on, Jinan's urban structure gradually form into a the northeast - southwest evolution ,the urban space non-economic increased. To optimize the city space, we need to move out certain functions of main urban region, strengthen the new town's duty, improve the transportation facilities between city groups, and carries on reasonable structure adjustment and the transformation and improvement of fundamental facilities in the main urban region.
