Sustainable Development Of Ecotourism Performance Evaluation

Driven by thoughts return to nature and the reflection of hidden problems behind the enormous economic benefits producted by traditional tourism resulted the birth of eco-tourism in the mid-1980s. Ecological tourism zone of sustainable development performance evaluation studies is a relatively simple and practical method to comprehensively test whether the economic, social and environmental benefits of Ecological Tourism Zone in a good running situation. Therefore, the study of eco-tourism for sustainable development, performance and evaluation system will have positive significance to enrich and improve the theory and practice of eco-tourism.First,this thesis presents a literature overview of ecotourism theory and the sustainable development of eco-tourism zone theory and put forward the index system of sustainable development of ecotourism by a field survey of scenery zone in the ecotourism zone of south Taibai mountain.concerning data is obtained and conformed and relevant data is filtered by consulting the expertise , thus the evaluating index system of the development of sustainable ecotourism is constructed.This system contain 33 fators and it can be divided into three layers:society,economy and environment. Society contains two index layers: The social environment and the coordination of eco-tourism areas and the community,including 9 factors;Economy contains two index layers: Construction of Ecological Tourism Zone and the business development proceeds of eco-tourism areas,including 12 factors; Environment contains two index layers:major environmental indicators and the quality of the landscape,including 12 factors. And then according to the state standards of People's Republic of China and expert advice, and integration of the relevant research data to natural sites,we make quantifications about the assignment of indicators elements and evaluation criteria, and establish the indicators evaluation criteria of a sustainable eco-tourism development.We have proposed a concept of eco-tourism zone performance index, that is,the composite index to measure eco-tourism zone economic, social and environmental benefits,used AHP to establish eco-tourism assessment model of ecotourism sustainable development and obtained social performance of the index, economic performance index, environmental performance index respectively. Through analysising performance Index on the ecotourism zone of south Taibai Mountain, the results showed that the economic performance index, social performance and environmental performance index within ecological tourism zone develop unbalancedly. The ecotourism zone of south Taibai Mountain can be divided into three categories: Efficient eco-tourism zone,for example,laoxiancheng scenic spots,houzhengzi-wanquangou scenic Spots,shaliangzi scenic spots, economic, environmental and social benefits can be run in the good performance of continuum,Ecological effects of ecological tourism zone,for example,sanhegong-baxiantai scenic spots,damanghe-yinjiapin scenic spots,badoupin-laojunlin scenic spots, environmental performance was higher than that of economic performance and social performance; Non-efficient eco-tourism zone, for example,diaoyutai-dashugou scenic spots and paomaliang scenic spots,their economic, social and ecological benefits are relatively low,especially paomaliang scenic spots.
