Analysis On How To Apply The Financial Resource In The Corporate Strategic Management According To Resource-based View

Resource-Based View (RBV) was a kind of corporate strategic management theory developed in the late 1980s. Different from other traditional ones, RBV puts emphasis on the internal diversity of firms as well as the external environment. It holds that the firm's competitive advantage bases on the key strategic resources. After reviewing and summing up this theory, the thesis stresses the value of financial resource for firms, and tries to find out how the firms should apply this kind of resource better in order to gain the competitive advantage.UFIDA Software and Kindee Software are two leading suppliers in the domestic industry of management software. Varying in listing path and time, there was a big gap in the financial resource between the two firms. The thesis analyses how UFIDA Software and Kindee Software set down and carried out the corporate strategy according to their own financial resource. On the one hand, the thesis wants to prove the theory put forward above; on the other hand, I hope my paper can bring some reference to the problem of applying financial resource.There are five parts in this thesis. First of all, I make out the research background and the main problem I want to solve. Then chapter one is an introduction to RBV; the thesis reviews the development of RBV and the latest study on it. In chapter two, I put forward corporate strategic management can be divided into two phases in the light of firm's resources and I stress the problem of applying financial resource. Chapter three is the case analysis on UFIDA Software and Kindee Software; strategic resources and operating performance of two firms are compared in this part, and I utilize the theory mentioned in chapter two to explain the result. The last part is my paper's conclusion, which conclude the content above and point out that the firm's competitive advantage doesn't depend on the amount of financial resource directly and applying the financial resource to obtain the strategic resources necessary for the development of the firm is much more important.The innovation is illustrated in two aspects. On the one hand, after reviewing the researches of RBV, the thesis puts forward that corporate strategic management can be divided into two phases based on the firm's resources and I stress the problem of how to gain the strategic resource in the first phase; on the other hand, I tries to explain the significance of financial resource and some problems we should pay attention to when it is applied in corporate strategic management on the basis of RBV and case analysis on UFIDA Software and Kindee Software.
