With the development of the tourism and the improvement of the citizen life standard, the demand of tourism consumption varies continuously. Thus, the issue of the tourism demand conversion triggered by the demands is nowadays being gradually concerned by specialists in the tourism and the academic field. Unfortunately, there is few researches systematically studied concerning the tourism demand conversion, and what's more, the theory of the tourism demand conversion is basically pale. Beijing, the capital of the People Republic of China, is both the political and cultural center of the nation, with the economy developed in China. Beijing has long played the leading role in the development of tourism in China. Currently, along with some other cities, Beijing is in the tourism demand conversion. The study on the differentiation of the tourism attraction is a vital part of the study of the differentiation on the tourism. Nowadays, the number of the research on the differentiation of the spatial structure is comparatively more than that before, and we have gained some research in both relative theory and practice. Nonetheless, there is rarely study on the spatial differentiation of one type of tourism attraction in China, let alone to the spatial differentiation of recreation tourism attraction under the condition of the demand conversion. Consequently, the study on the spatial differentiation of recreation tourism attraction in Beijing has great impact on both theory and practice.On the background of the demand conversion, this paper is trying to present the concept of the tourism demand conversion, tentatively explore the critical factors which contribute to the tourism demand conversion and specifically analyze the issue of the tourism demand conversion in Beijing. With the help of research on the spot and the spatial analysis technology of GIS, the spatial differentiation and rules of the characteristic on the main recreation tourism attraction such as ski tourism, golf tourism and vocation village are discussed, and the conclusion that the rigidity factors and non-rigidity factors both have great impact on the spatial differentiation on the critical recreation tourism attraction in Beijing under the condition of the demand conversion are drawn. The rigidity factors include the terrain factors, land resources, water resources, and tourism resources; the non-rigidity factors contain the transportation, market demand, industry convergence, the real estate development, and so forth.
