Performance Evaluation Among Logistics Companies: An Empirical Analysis

As the trend of global economic integration was strengthened, the competitive environment haschanged greatly. The entry of the foreign enterprises has brought not only the advanced logisticsservice idea and the methods in operation way, but also fiercer market competition to domesticlogistics enterprises too. If logistics enterprises want the long-term stable development in the keencompetition environment, they should draw support from the science management. Then performanceappraisal becomes the important subject that experts and scholars pay close attention to. This textstudis the performance appraisal problems of logistics enterprises-the construction of evaluation indexsystem and the combination of appraisal methods, for the purpose of offering beneficial guidance todomestic logistics performance appraisal completion and operation. The research achivement of thisdissertation can be concluded as follows:(1) Chapter three of this text is on the basis of theories of performance appraisal of logisticsenterprises, mainly aims at the logistics performance evaluation index system. Next is clusteringanalysis of the chosen index, constructing the performance evaluation index system of logisticsincluding survivability, profit ability and development capacity. And the author also uses basicmethods to deal with the index date.(2) Given subjective weight and objective weight all have their own defect that can't be conquerd bythemselves. Chapter four analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of subjective weight andobjective weight. By connecting subjective weight and objective weight, the author deduces asynthetical method about deciding index weight. To guarantee the accuracy of weight, the authorexamines the result in advance and afterwards.(3) The author chooses the Fuzzy Evaluation Assessment, the Analytic Hierarchy Process and thePrincial Components Analysis that commonly used in logistics enterprises performance appraisal fieldand the method that put forward in this article. In the process of comparing the quality of everycomprehensive appraisal method, the author uses the correlate coefficient and correlation degree toanalyse the results. In the end, this text offers the suggestion of choosing and using performanceappraisal methods correctly on this basis; offers reference for researchers to select methodsscientifically while making every effort to improve enterprise's performance appraisal quality.
