Study Of The Vulnerability Of Economic And The Sustainable Development In Three Gorges Reservoir Area

Three Gorges Reservoir Area is a special economic geography district, which formed by the building of Three gorges Reservoir project. The Reservoir area occupies a very important position in promoting the economic development of the region along the river, so, how to maintain the sustainable development of The Reservoir area is the key point for the further development of The Reservoir area. However, suffering the limitation of some factors such as nature condition, the economic development in Reservoir Area is vulnerable. This dissertation is focused on the vulnerability of economic and sustainable development problem in Chongqing's Three Gorges Reservoir Area. And seeks a new way for its development. The main contents as following:1. For posterior study, the dissertation summarizes the related achievement of regional economic.2. Base on the achievement of nature system and humanities system, the connotation and definition of vulnerability of regional economy development is put forward. This dissertation evaluates the intramural instability by the estimation of regional disparities,For proving sensitivity to the changing of exterior economic conditions , the dissertation analyze current industrial in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area characteristic from three aspects: low degree, similarity tendency and the emptiness in the industrial structure. These items show that the economic development in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area is very vulnerable.3. This dissertation introduces the origin and development of fractal theory, summarizes its main content, recommends fractal time series in economic system and Hurst exponent and how to calculate Hurst exponent by R/S analysis. From the intramural instability of the economic development in Three Gorges Reservoir Area, this dissertation analyses and forecasts the trend of vulnerability and compares it with the regional disparities in some countries, which used to reform economy severely or have great regional economy disparities.
