Ecological Security Evaluation Of Tourist Destinations

Recent years, extensive concerns are given to the impact that tourism has brought to ecological environment in the tourist destinations. That has already become the important factor that restricting sustainable development in tourist destination. Based on theory of ecological security and research approach, combining with characteristic of tourist destination, the author explains the concept of ecological security in tourist destination, explores the theory and method of ecological security evaluation in tourist destination and establishes its theoretical framework, as well as takes "Lijiang River Tour Zone" as a example to carry on case study.Ecological security includes natural ecological security, economic ecological security and social ecological security, especially the security of natural and semi-natural ecosystem. It is the reflection of ecosystem integrality and ecological health. As combining ecological security theory with theory of sustainable development in tourist destination, this paper proposes that ecological security in tourist destination is a state as follow: Natural resources and eco-environment in tourist destination can meet demand of local tourism sustainable development, instead of damage the potential of natural ecological environment. Moreover, harmonious development of economic system and social system in tourist destination will ensure tourist activity, local's normal life and production without threat and risk.On the basis of analyzing factors that influencing ecological security in tourist destination, the paper builds up comprehensive index system for ecological security evaluation in tourist destination from 3 aspects, for instance, tourism ecological environment security, economic social security of tourism, and development security of tourism. Later, analytic hierarchy process is used to identify weigh value of various indexes, comprehensive evaluation methods is applied to calculate comprehensive appraisal value of ecological security for tourism destination, then. divides out safety grade.According to theoretical system and method established in this paper, the writer takes "Lijiang River Tour Zone" as a case to appraise its ecological security.
