The semiconductor industry is a high energy consumption industry with expensive equipment, sensitive and the complex manufacturing process. In the current global economic environment, semiconductor manufacturers are expe-cted to maintain good cash flow, reduce operating costs and increase adaptability and flexibility.This thesis mainly addresses the approachs to improve Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) for semicon-ductor final test, deep study OEE improvement opportunities from the lean supply chain strategy viewpoint, and through the promotion and implementation of lean manufacturing and 6 Sigma management, from the manpower, machine, material, method and environment point of view. It focuses on product process and performance improvement, WIP reduction and productivity improvement, information integration and real-time control and other measures to minimize all unnecessary activities and wastes.To improve J750 test platform OEE in E Semiconductor (China) Co. Ltd. Tianjin plant, The thesis studied more effective OEE calculation , monitor and control methods , through information systems and automation improvement , enhancing operation user interface to be able to do automatic data collection , real-time monitoring of personnel, equipment, product testing and further refinement of various states , Thus it will help find the problem, and get real-time feedback, and quickly involve expert resources to solve those critical issues.To quickly eliminate NPI (New product Introduction) impact for overall OEE, The thesis focuses on test performance improvement of key new products. I has worked out the unified management and control schema of universality of the problem, and found commonalities to work out the solution, through product V retest rate reduction and high reburn rate solution to reduce the final test cost and help to maximize output, and also fanned out to other products. The expected benefit is about 600k.In conclusion, The thesis points out lean manufacturing promotion and implementation required strong senior leadership, clear responsibility from organization and cross function team full participation,and the modern advanced manufacturing also highlighted the importance of automatic information system integration. The thesis points out that a company should continue tapping bottlenecks in the supply chain, organize related professional people overcome difficulties and provide standardized solution to continuously eliminate waste and implement new improvement, so further reform to achieve a virtuous circle of lean manufacture.
