With the rapid development of globalization and knowledge economy, career management faces enormous challenges, and traditional career development model can hardly meet the needs of the times. Organizations get deep into competitive uncertainties, instability of organization and insecurity of employment, and they cannot provide cradle-to-grave employment for their employees. Career development of the employees becomes more uncertain, which has negative effect on organizational loyalty. Facing with such a situation, organizations and employees must think deeply about such a problem:how to find a breakthrough and reach a win-win state.Hall ever put forward a new protean career development model. Employees must conduct career self-management and strengthen dynamic learning ability. Career adaptability becomes the essential important ability of each employee and its concept has been accepted by many scholars. Regarding how to retain the best people for the enterprises, the key is to improve career satisfaction and career commitment of employees, and motivate the employees to work hard.Based on a review of related literatures, this article uses enterprise employees as a study case, explores the correlation of career adaptability, career satisfaction and career commitment, and probes into the effect of demographic variables on career commitment.287 valid samples are conducted exploratory factor analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, analysis of variance, correlation analysis, regression analysis and path analysis by SPSS 17.0 and LISREL 8.7. Main results can be showed as follows:(1) Some demographic variables have effect on career commitment.(2) The correlation between proactive personality included in career adaptability and affective commitment is significantly positive. The correlation between proactive personality and continuance commitment is significantly negative. There is no significant correlation between proactive personality and normative commitment. The correlation between boundaryless mindset included in career adaptability and affective commitment is significantly positive. There is no significant correlation between boundaryless mindset and continuance and normative commitment. Career adaptability can predict affective commitment effectively.(3) There is a significantly positive correlation between career adaptability and career satisfaction, and career adaptability can predict career satisfaction effectively.(4) There is a significantly positive correlation between career satisfaction and affective and normative commitment, and career satisfaction can predict them effectively.(5) Career satisfaction is a mediator between career adaptability and affective commitment, and career adaptability partly acts on affective commitment indirectly by career satisfaction.
