Study On Preparation Of Biodiesel With Cottonseed Oil Through Alkaline Catalysis

China has a large cotton production power, cottonseed oil source is enough. Withthe improvement of people’s living standard, cottonseed oil as edible oil consumptionproportion declining. Part of cottonseed oil as raw material to produce biodiesel hascertain feasibility. Our country cotton in the national economy and the world cottonproduction plays a decisive role. Cotton is the main by-product in the production ofcotton, the development and utilization of our country cotton seed for stableproduction and comprehensive utilization of by-products has important significance.Study of cottonseed oil, so as to improve the efficiency in the use of cottonseed andeconomic benefits for other vegetable oil, biodiesel production provide guidance. Thisstudy to cottonseed oil as raw material, using alkali catalytic method for thepreparation of biodiesel oil product quality to undertake the preliminary assessment.At present, with alkali catalytic cottonseed oil biodiesel production is less, this paperstudies from the perspective of cottonseed oil base catalysis of biodiesel preparationfor further research.
