Compared Study On Four Basic Types Of Virtual Research & Development Team

The virtual team has been an important topic in the team theoretic. But at present, there is still not any reasonable conclusion on examining what and how they affect. With the development strategy in the knowledge economy and the revolution of technology day-profit, long-distance operation on work and its efficiency attracts more attention to people. This paper chooses virtual R&D team to compare its four types.Based on the critical review of the theoretic of virtual team and its effect factors. Focus on integrating these points and avoiding the problems such as the obscure object, broadening measurement indicator, etc, the paper redefined the conception of virtual team and presented a new model concerning the four types of virtual R&D team, and makes an empirical research on the conception model and assumption employing methods of SPSS. This research explores several findings. First, resource: Decentralized Self-Coordination Team and System Integrator as Coordinator Team have indistinct difference; System Integrator as Coordinator Team and Core Team as System Architect have indistinct difference; Core Team as System Architect and Centralized Venture Team have indistinct difference, too. But Decentralized Self-Coordination Team and Centralized Venture Team have distinct difference. Second, project planning: Decentralized Self-Coordination Team chooses dynamic planning when setting a goal; System Integrator as Coordinator Team would like to choose dynamic planning but systemically; Core Team as System Architect would like to choose systemic planning but dynamically; Centralized Venture Team choose systemic planning firstly. Third, make the System Integrator as Coordinator Team and Core Team as System Architect as the interface.
