With the ever-changing information age, and the rapid development of technology, Enjoying the conveniences which the science and technology bring to us, we have to face with all kinds of insecure factors and dangers. As for the entrance guard system, the traditional keys and radio frequency card is gradually abandoned because there are many shortcomings existing in them such as easy-lost and easy-copy. In this situation, entrance guard system appears and applied widely which is based on biology identification.Taking the microprocessor and microcontroller as the core, embedded systems is applied widely in all kind of aspects of social life for its advantages of high-performance, low-power, small-volume and high-precision. The introduction of this technology will enhance the performance of the entrance guard system awfully.Based on the relating background, this thesis choose Embedded WinCE-based fingerprint recognition access control technology as the main researching task. The fingerprint access identification system accomplishes the task of developed human-machine interface which is Easily applied, fingerprint identification , photo collection and data upload under the Windows CE embedded operation systems.This thesis design the hardware system according to the system requirements, Embedded chips used as a Samsung S3C2440 processor system. Under this premise, the fingerprint identification to determine acquisition module and the picture acquisition equipment. In terms of software, Selecting WinCE 5.0, I start to establish the WinCE system platform after choosing and identifying the proper working mode which fits for the system requirements. EVC4.0 is adopted in the design and programming of the compliance procedure. It can accomplish the functions of fingerprint identification, photo collection and human- computer interface. What's more, it has satisfied the expected design requirements after the coding adjustment.
