At present,wireless sensor network is a emerging research field from home and abroad, which is considerable attended to, and intersected by multi-subject. furthermore, it has the important application value and the deep market potential.From September 1993, the protocol group of IEEE 1451 was established by international institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers ,that is, Standard for a Smart Transducer Interface for Sensors and Actuators of IEEE 1451.The aim was to define a set of universal communication interface, transducers could actualize the network connection by adopting the wire or wireless mode in the field. The interface simplified kinds of network control systems constituted by transducers, and supported the plug-and-play. Under the frame of developed IEEE 1451,in order to implement an open standard wireless sensor interface which satisfied the demand of kinds of application fields, such as industry automation, on June 2001,the IEEE 1451.5 standard was proposed, that is, wireless communication and Transducer Electronic DataSheet(TEDS)Formats. The mode of wireless communication has three standards—IEEE802.11, Bluetooth, ZigBee (IEEE 802.15.4). The design adopted ZigBee to research the wireless sensor network of plug-and-play interface based on IEEE 1451.5 standard.Under ZigBee technology, the paper utilized the wireless single-chip CC2430, and designed the field temperature and humidity data acquisition module. With the wireless I/O module of CC2430,it accomplished the wireless transducer interface module based on IEEE 1451 standard, and achieved functions of the field analog signal condition, analog/digital conversion, digital/analog conversion, command processing, data transmission, communication, etc.Network Capable Application Processor is the network communication interface between WTIM and digit network, and is the networked key of smart sensor. The design used the LabVIEW based on industry PC as NCAP, realized the connection of the bottom network and INTERNET, accomplished the connection of WTIM and network based on ZigBee, and achieved the whole function of NCAP which had the good interface and the powerful capability of data process.In order to reduce the design of the wireless transducer interface module, the virtual Transducer Electronic DataSheet(TEDS) was adopted and stored on NCAP based on IPC. End-User could detect the function of transducer, circulating parameter, position, performance, advanced instruction, and other text format information.The paper provided the relative design of software and hardware. Experiment tested, it proved that the system basically satisfied the design requirement. Since IEEE 1451.5 standard was proposed, it was probed how wireless sensor network realized to match with the international standard IEEE 1451.5 in this paper.
