This paper is mainly the research done by projects of Shanghai Science and Technology Commission《Study on the Technology and Demonstration System of Explosion Detection and Location with Sensor Network》. This paper proposed a positioning mechanism based on the integration of microphone array and seismic sensor array. So this paper mainly discussed sound source localization techniques based on microphone array, and made an application demonstration system.Sound source localization technology based on microphone array is a hot research topic about acoustic signal processing, and has a broad prospect and practical significance. Through comparative analysis to three classic positioning methods,according to achievement of the system real-time requirements and stability requirements, the time delay estimation of the positioning method was used in this paper. Through theoretical study on the passive acoustic detection and localization algorithm principle and error with any ternary array,quaternary array and five-cross array, two five-cross array model system for the sound localization mechanism was decided.Especially the theory of generalized cross-correlation method.what is more,the traditional method of generalized cross-correlation was developed.and the results of computer simulation shows that the method developed outperforms the traditional method.In the time delay estimation algorithms, the paper traversed the generalized cross correlation (GCC) delay estimation algorithm, discussed various forms of weighting function and performance characteristics, and proposed improved algorithms to improve performance.Simultaneity, we introduced algorithm principle based on the least mean square (LMS) adaptive delay estimation, discussed the form of the frequency domain and improved form, to improve the delay estimation accuracy. Through the simulation analysis of a large number of sound signals, cross-correlation method is used in the system.According to positioning needs, this paper presents the application model systems based on two five-cross array. Through a multi-physics coupling software COSMOL building three-dimensional simulation model of petrochemical plants, that demonstrated the feasibility of the system. Describe probe node prototype hardware design, and analyse some problems in the algorithm design, such as acoustic signal analysis, the impact of multipath interference, network time synchronization, especially according to the characters of the Non-Line Of Sight(NLOS) acoustic passive localization technology, a method of NLOS acoustic passive localization based on ray tracing is presented. Finally, through the demonstration experiment.and analysis of experimental data, the system of error analyses are shown.Finally, this paper has done a summary of the system, which provided some direction of improvements for the further study of sound localization system, while this sound localization system provided some of the hardware platform for further research.
