The Research And Application Of Freight Train Overloading And Unbalanced Loading Detecting System

In recent years,train accidents occurred frequently with the rising speed of train.After the analysis of accidents,Ministry of Railways think that overloading and unbalanced loading is the main reason of train derailment.However,because of traditional rail weighing overloading and unbalanced loading detection which is only fit for the fixed location detection after loading has certain limitations and backwardness,it needs to be reinforced.If the problems of overloading and unbalanced loading exist,it must be handled before departures.Thus,there will be economic loss and great influence on working efficiency.As a result,It will be valuable that a convenient real time dynamic weighting device for rail car is designed.In this system, the sensors were installed on train damping spring that under the bogy,and sensor's data is collected by C8051F350 SCM (Single-Chip Microcomputer) which released by Silicon Labs.Then, the collected data will be written into electronic tags which would be detected automatically and the valid data would be read by card reader.Finally, the valid data is read back by host computer(upper computer)from card reader and some functions are implemented,such as display, printing, storage and so on.In the paper,The overall schema of the new freight train overloading and unbalanced detecting system is discussed,which is based on the situation both domestic and overseas freight train overloading and unbalanced loading detecting system. The design and development of hardware and software in this system are detailed introduced,such as:The type of sensor, The management of low power consumption,The design of data acquisition board and the adjustment of data precision, Wireless data communication,The design of database application based on Visual Basic 6.0,The datas were fitted to curves by means of the least-square method based on MATLAB.
