With the development of sci-tech, the demand for high quality power supply is increasing. After developing many years, analog controller used on the field of inverters is very nature,but is also have many disadvantages With development of integrated system and digital control, the power electronic circuits developed in the direction of higher frequency and lower consumption. FPGA is a new type of high integrated circuit appeared in recent years. It is economy, high speed, low consumption and easy to be developed and be maintained. At present, FPGA is a research hot spot in power electronic circuits control field for its faster speed, higher integrated and higher versatility in comparison with MCU and DSP.Based on the above-mentioned advantages, this paper studied the digital controller of power supply based on FPGA.First of all, a more detailed analysis of full-bridge converter and several of the more popular current control methods were given; on this basis, designed a FPGA-based digital control scheme, and achieved the control system on Cyclone EP1C12Q240C8. Experiments show that the system can achieve single-loop control. Two control methods, phase-shifted and duty limited bipolar can be optioned; the digital communication between controller and peripheral is also implemented which achieve a good human-computer interaction. By the power of incomparable parallel processing ability of FPGA, which enhanced the computing speed and improved the efficiency of control; for the designing and configuring of FPGA is very flexibility, the PWM generator can output PWM signal with adjustable phase, adjustable duty cycle in accordance with the controlled object, it is also simple interface.All are designed using Verilog HDL language, to be completed and simulated in Quartusâ…ˇ. And this paper regulate PI control loop on the experimental platform of 220V AC input.24V constant voltage output, frequency 12KHZ,power of 300W switching power with the designed control system.Experimental results are satisfactory,achieving aim which expected.This design was proved the feasible as well as efficient. The entire system configuration flexibility, easy-to amend the upgrade, each module also has strong portability.
