For the navigation of mobile robot in an unknown environment, this paper makes a system research to the environmental modeling, obstacle avoidance algorithm and deliberative planning, the main contents are summarized as follows:1. In this paper, the existing research method of the navigation in an unknown environment are classified and summarized with seeing lots of literatures, and definded the basic method of the navigation strategy in unknown environment.2. In this paper, we study the cloud model theory, and process the uncertain sensor data by using the cloud model to realize the navigation of the mobile robot in the unknown environment.3. We establishe the multi-rules reasoning generator to realize the reaction avoiding collision. The method of the environmental modeling which can be identified by the robot is set up. And the finding sub-target method by searching the tangent point based on the environment map is presented to realize the efficient deliberative planning.4. We use the Player / Stage which is developed by USC Robotics Research Laboratory to simulate the motion of mobile robot.
